OK I was asked this the other day and couldn't come up with an answer so I was hoping that someone on here would.
We all say we are in a commited and loving relationship and some even say a secure relationship. Well my question is then why do we swing?
If we are in a secure relationship why do we feel the need to have sex with other people?
Now there is no right or wrong answer but I am more interested in the answers so I can pass them on to the friend who doesn't understand swinging.
Thankyou
Russ
Becuase we have enough trust in each other to be able to be open.
Not saying they don't. Also alot of couples cheat on each other, this way you can be open and honest and possibaly fill each other fantasies together.
because:
we love sex, and enjoy the variety, and extra hand or mouth you wouldnt get in a "normal relationship" due to religious or jealousy reasons
Neo and Blaze
Because we (and our respective partners) are happy when our partner is happy. There is only so much that one person can do, and sometimes, other people do things differently, which gives variety.
It is not about who is "better" at something, who can scream (or make the other scream) the loudest - its about enjoying yourself, and sharing your experience with your partner and others.
The social aspect is very important as well. I can think of many nights we've spent at mike's where we, for almost the entire night, did nothing but sit outside and chat to other people about their experiences and their goals.
The bottom line is that both partners need to be comfortable with each other. To trust them explicitly. To know that no matter what happens, at the end of the night, your partner will crash drunkenly beside you in bed - and you will both wake up together and talk about what a memorable night it was the night before.
To know that you're not going to leave the venue \ event \ house pissed off with the other person because they wanted to do something and you wouldn't let them.
Every couple has their own rules set down beforehand, and its a good idea for those rules to cut both ways. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. So long as there is an even balance for both sides of the coin - so long as you enjoy it - so long as nobody is hurt (against their wishes), and so long as everyone has a good time - why not?
Religion?
Social Taboo?
Who made that up?
I'll tell you - the same men who made up the rule that they weren't allowed to have sex, lest it soil their soul in the eyes of their lord. Now if their god made them in His own image, and their god loves all living things (and He is therefore - Pro Life) why would He enforce strictures on His messengers that they could not procreate? (or in some situations, such as the topics we're discussing) pro-re-creational.
Heavy stuff - short answer - because we all like it, and we're all mature enough to put jealousy and avarice aside.
